Digital Natives â Reporters in the Field Project Manager - Job Description (10-20 hours/week)
Responsibilities
- Act as main point of contact for DN Reporters in the Field
- Manage the submission process for DN Reporters in the Field
- Maintain web presence for DN Reporters in the Field
Duties
- Analyze and determine response for Reporters in the Field requests, applications, and submissions
- Maintain relationships with mentors and producers throughout production process
- Review productions at beginning and final stages
- Maintain Contact Database
- Compress and upload media for the web
- Keep abreast of current media production and sharing technologies
Essential Skills/Qualities
- Must have some media production experience
- Must know web compression including working with different media formats such as Quick time, Windows Media, Real
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
- Has experience working with youth ages 12- 19
- Interest in, and ability to articulate the mission of The Berkman Center and the Digital Natives Project
- Highly organized and detail oriented with ability to work both individually and as a member of a team
- Creative energy; ability to handle multiple projects
- Excellent writing, communications and technical skills including MS Office suite; other database experience a plus
