Digital Natives â Reporters in the Field Project Manager - Job Description (10-20 hours/week)
Responsibilities:
- Act as main point of contact for DN Reporters in the Field
- Manage the submission process for DN Reporters in the Field
- Maintain web presence for DN Reporters in the Field
Duties: ⢠Analyze and determine response for Reporters in the Field requests, applications, and submissions ⢠Maintain relationships with mentors and producers throughout production process ⢠Review productions at beginning and final stages ⢠Maintain Contact Database ⢠Compress and upload media for the web ⢠Keep abreast of current media production and sharing technologies
Essential Skills/Qualities: ⢠Must have some media production experience ⢠Must know web compression including working with different media formats such as Quick time, Windows Media, Real ⢠BA/BS degree or equivalent experience ⢠Has experience working with youth ages 12- 19 ⢠Interest in, and ability to articulate the mission of The Berkman Center and the Digital Natives Project ⢠Highly organized and detail oriented with ability to work both individually and as a member of a team ⢠Creative energy; ability to handle multiple projects ⢠Excellent writing, communications and technical skills including MS Office suite; other database experience a plus
