Digital Natives – Reporters in the Field Project Manager - Job Description (10-20 hours/week)

Responsibilities: Act as main point of contact for DN Reporters in the Field Manage the submission process for DN Reporters in the Field Maintain web presence for DN Reporters in the Field

Duties: • Analyze and determine response for Reporters in the Field requests, applications, and submissions • Maintain relationships with mentors and producers throughout production process • Review productions at beginning and final stages • Maintain Contact Database • Compress and upload media for the web • Keep abreast of current media production and sharing technologies

Essential Skills/Qualities: • Must have some media production experience • Must know web compression including working with different media formats such as Quick time, Windows Media, Real • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience • Has experience working with youth ages 12- 19 • Interest in, and ability to articulate the mission of The Berkman Center and the Digital Natives Project • Highly organized and detail oriented with ability to work both individually and as a member of a team • Creative energy; ability to handle multiple projects • Excellent writing, communications and technical skills including MS Office suite; other database experience a plus
