Digital Natives – Reporters in the Field Project Manager - Job Description (10-20 hours/week)

Responsibilities

  • Act as main point of contact for DN Reporters in the Field
  • Manage the submission process for DN Reporters in the Field
  • Maintain web presence for DN Reporters in the Field

Duties

  • Analyze and determine response for Reporters in the Field requests, applications, and submissions
  • Maintain relationships with mentors and producers throughout production process
  • Review productions at beginning and final stages
  • Maintain Contact Database
  • Compress and upload media for the web
  • Keep abreast of current media production and sharing technologies

Essential Skills/Qualities

  • Must have some media production experience
  • Must know web compression including working with different media formats such as Quick time, Windows Media, Real
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
  • Has experience working with youth ages 12- 19
  • Interest in, and ability to articulate the mission of The Berkman Center and the Digital Natives Project
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with ability to work both individually and as a member of a team
  • Creative energy; ability to handle multiple projects
  • Excellent writing, communications and technical skills including MS Office suite; other database experience a plus
